The Warren Kimbro Reentry Project (WKRP): Community Reintegration Center is a non-residential program at Goodwill of Southern New England that provides comprehensive case management services to male and female adult offenders returning to the city of New Haven after incarceration. Referrals are provided by the Department of Correction (DOC). Funding is provided by the City of New Haven through a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Pre and Post Release Services –  We provide a range of pre-release services in six DOC facilities: Carl Robinson CI, Willard-Cybulski CI, York CI, Osborn CI, Corrigan-Radgowski CI, and New Haven Correctional Center. Post-release services are provided at Goodwill of Southern New England’s Grand Avenue location in New Haven, in the community and within participants’ homes.

Case Management – Warren Kimbro Reentry Project is a collaborative community program that focuses on the development and achievement of goals that will support your successful reentry into the City of New Haven. Your achievement of your goals is supported by a combination of our comprehensive case management referral process. Referrals for the provision of services include the following areas of need:

  • Family Reunification
  • Subsidized Basic Needs
  • Transportation
  • Peer Mentorship
  • Assistance with Benefit Enrollment
  • Education
  • Employment/Volunteer Services Referral
  • Financial Management
  • Substance Abuse Treatment Referral
  • Mental Health/Medical Services Referral

The Case Manager monitors these referrals to ensure that individuals’ needs are being addressed. Re-entry staff also assist participants with advocacy needs.

Community Advocate – The Community Advocate works alongside the Case Manager to provide program participants access to basic needs, facilitate participants’ positive interactions with other community members, and provide weekly support groups for men reentering the New Haven community following incarceration.
