Goodwill offers a range of job training programs, support services and placement and post placement services for individuals with barriers to employment. Participants are often referred through agencies as the Office of Rehabilitation Services, Department of Labor and Training, or the Department of Human Services and Education. After an initial screening for skills and interests, individuals are assigned to a case manager, who helps them develop an individual training and employment plan and choose trainings and support consistent with their individual needs. Some trainings are offered in a classroom setting while others are more “hands-on”. Whenever possible on the job training work experiences are built into training to provide a realistic environment for job expectations.
