Goodwill of Southern New England Rhode Island campus retail & customers service skills training program (RACS) is a 12 week, 216 hour course that prepares participants specifically for entry level retail/sales positions by concentrating on customer service through sales and service. Enrollees will participate in classroom instruction using a competency based system of instruction. The training curriculum has been developed to align with the national retail skills standards and prepares individuals for the National Professional Certification in Customer Service. Each enrollee will complete a paid internship (on the job training) and will compete a retail portfolio containing documentation of skills and knowledge. Each enrollee will also receive wrap around services including case management, job development, job placement and job retention.
