Virtual Employment Services
Goodwill of Southern New England is now offering virtual, online career coaching services. These services are there for all people interested in the help of Goodwill’s employment coaches to find, secure, and retain employment.
“In times like these, with lay-offs and unemployment at historic numbers, we are seeking ways to help people get their careers back on track, especially in light of social distancing and the many restrictions that are currently in place. In particular for individuals with barriers to employment, this is a very difficult time, but we want to offer these services really to anyone that may need help with securing employment” said H. Richard Borer, Jr., President of Goodwill of Southern New England.
Individuals can sign up for these virtual consultations directly at the website of Goodwill of Southern New England (www.goodwillSNE.org) and find these services in the “Programs” section, or directly by visiting www.goodwillsne.org/virtual-services. Visitors will be presented with a sign-up form. After completing and submitting this form, a Goodwill Career Coach will be in touch within one business day to schedule the virtual session. These sessions can take place through web meetings, from any smartphone or tablet, or even through a regular phone call.
Services include Resume Help and Critique, Cover Letter Help, Interviewing Skills Coaching, and Job Search Strategies. Goodwill is currently self-funding these services at no cost to participants but is actively looking for partners and grants to expand on these services in the future.
