  1. How would someone who knows you well describe you? What adjectives would he/she use?   Use soft skills.

 

  1. In which area or areas of your performances was your supervisor most critical? Why? Did you agree with that? 

“Critical” isn’t always negative. Safety is critical, sanitation is critical. This is what the supervisor was most attentive to.

 

  1. Name someone you particularly respect. What traits do you like or admire about this person. 

Sam Clemens.  Sense of humor, was able to recover after losing everything.  Paid all his debtors first by traveling the world giving oral presentations.  Example

 

  1. How would you rate your probability of success in the position we have been discussing? Why?

I believe that I would be 85% successful until I have had the opportunity of learning all policies and company guidelines.

Assess the situation; try to resolve it within the company’s policies and procedures.  Get help if needed from supervisor.

 

  1. What are your greatest strengths? Weaknesses? 

Strength should be realted to the position-

Weakness needs be given with a solution or fix. Eg. Time management was an issue so I began using Outlook

One that allowed me to make use of all my skills provided new learning experiences and gave me satisfaction.

One in which I would be able to apply my _____ experience as well as acquire new skills and opportunities

My criminal background.  Since then I have made positive changes in behavior, participated in programs and have volunteered to speak on the topic.

 

  1. At which of your past jobs were you least successful? Why

I was the least successful in short-term jobs because I wasn’t able to showcase my skills.

 

  1. How do you feel about overtime? I welcome it.

 

  1. How will you get to and from work? Do you have your own transportation?

 Although I have my own transportation, I also live near public transportation that affords me the ability to make use of it if a car problem should present itself.

 

  1. Who will you be using for references?

Supervisors from previous employment, Professional individuals as well as individuals where I volunteered. I have with me a list.

 

  1. I see that you only worked for your last employer for a year. Why? 

Honesty is the best possibility, work with an advisor to formulate an effective answer

 

  1. Tell me about your gaps in employment.

Went back to school, volunteered, criminal history answer.

Be sincere.  I made some bad decisions, but I take full responsibility for my actions.  I have since made positive changes in behavior by attending classes for my offense, graduated from Tunxis as a Medical Assistant and will obtain my Associates in Business in January 2015.

Know salary, if not, it is open for negotiations.
